We had a great beach week with my family! We spent lots of time on the beach and in the boat, played putt putt, went to the amusement park, and shopped. Family time was the best! Even though we only live about an hour from the beach, it's always nice to spend a full week in the sun.
We spent most of Sunday on the beach before going out to eat for Father's Day. KT dug a big pool for the boys to play in. It turned into an aquarium after he caught a horseshoe crab, blue crab, and lots of minnows. They had so much fun playing in there and K.C. made himself aquarium keeper!
We went down to The Pointe one day. We love it there! It's great to just park the boat and get out and walk around. We made a picnic and ate in the boat and played in the water.
We also went out in the ocean and fished. We drove through some schools of fish trying to catch what was feeding on them, too. Kevin used his net and pulled in 40-50 greenbacks for the boys to see. They were so excited!
What's a trip to the beach without putt putt and the amusement park? We took the boys to Gilligan's Island to play putt putt one night. It's one of the tougher courses at the beach and when we think putt putt, this is the place we think of. It's also the first place KT and I played putt putt together (I got a hole in one I might add! He got one this time!).
The course was crowded the night we went and we provided some fun for everyone. The sixth hole is really close to the big lagoon that doesn't have any fencing around it. I was watching the boys hit their balls and heard something. When I turned around, my coordinated and athletic Kevin was jumping out of the lagoon. About thirty seconds later, we hear a splash and sweet Kaden is almost up to his neck in water. To say we had lots of laughs and provided some good entertainment for the other players is an understatement!
The boys had a great time at the amusement park, too! We took them there for the first time when we went to the beach for a long weekend in April and they loved it. They rode almost all of the kiddie rides and we have tickets left over for when we go to the beach with Kevin's family in a few weeks.
