Parenting Fail

It was supposed to be warm today.

In the high 70s in fact.

It was also supposed to be sunny.

Or so said The Weather Channel app on my phone Sunday.

Sunday was also the day I took the time to look at the weather.

Looking at the weather is not something I do.

Getting the boys' clothes out for the week is something I do on Sundays though.

I got out jeans for yesterday because it was going to be in the 60s.

I got out shorts for today because it was supposed to be warm.

Poor babies weren't cold yesterday.

Poor babies are probably freezing today.

I know I am.

And my heart hurts because if there's anything I dislike more than being cold myself, it's for my boys to be cold.

This concludes the day's parenting (or dressing your kids for what The Weather Channel tells you it's going to feel like) fail.

Awww, it's okay. It really could have happened to anyone! I even chose the wrong footwear for the day. I had to come home at lunch and change shoes because it was too chilly for open-toed sandals.
