30 Days of Thanks {Day 8}

Day 8 {This Blog}

I'm thankful for my blog today.  It's an outlet for me.  I love it.

A few years ago, I blogged.  I had followers.  Like 300-400 of them.  Then, some things happened in my personal life and I stopped blogging.

I picked it back up earlier this year and I'm glad I did.

Why do I blog?  I blog for myself.  I blog about the things I'm learning.  I write about the things we do as a family because even though I know there are people that read this blog (and I'm thankful for you and getting to know you!), I like to be able to look back on the blog and see what we've done.

While there are people in my life who know that I blog, I don't advertise it.   The things that I write about on here whether they be what we did for the weekend, how excited I am to be married, or my tips for fitting in exercise, are real.  The heartfelt posts are my thoughts whether they're written down or not, and the advice posts (like how to stay motivated to run) are things I like to write so that I can motivate myself, too.

I want my blog to be authentic.  I'm amazed that the 40-some people (and I know that's not a lot compared to most of you) that follow this blog, do so.  I hope you know that the things you read on this blog are just brief snapshots into my life. I am thankful that I have this little corner to use as an outlet for myself and to remember things.
