An Identity Crisis of Sorts

I feel like I'm having kind of an identity crisis on my blog. It's kind of like one of those days when you wake up, get all dressed up and you're having a perfect hair day, but then you walk outside and it's ugly and icky and you just don't match the day. I feel like that about my blog sometimes.

When I read all of your lovely blogs (and if you don't think I read yours, I want to! Let me know what it is!), many of them are written around a certain topic. In my Bloglovin' account, I have categories like All Time Favs, Everyday Reads, Parenting, Running and Faith (and then a slew of other blogs that I haven't filed yet). Most all of these blogs revolve around a certain theme.

Mine doesn't. And while that's ok, I sometimes feel like maybe I should be a "category" blogger, but then I think I'd get bored with that. When I started this blog, I named it The Things I'm Learning because I really am learning all kinds of things about all kinds of things.

Maybe I'll just stick with my name and keep writing those things that are on my heart, my random thoughts and throwing in some exercise posts here and there.

What do you think? What do you want to read about? More family, less running, more fun? I really want to focus more on my little space on the Internet this year. I want to share more, be more consistent and engage more. So, my friends, you tell me!

I like how you've been blogging. I like hearing what you're up to...whether running, family things, etc... :)

I had a similar crisis a few months ago, but when it boils down to it, you should post what interests YOU. If you're passionate about a subject, that will show in your writing, and people will want and enjoy reading what you write.

I love reading your blog. My favorite posts are just the day-to-day what you and the family have been up to. I also love when you share advice on time management and things like that. If you feel like your blogging is too "all over the place" you could always start a separate blog for running, faith, etc.

I've told you this before, and I'll tell you again...your blog is PERFECT...because its by you! Your "randomness" is what makes it so fun, and unpredictable. Love you, Anna! Always be you! Write from the heart :)

I know for a fact I have no theme going on around my blog. I seem to just write whatever feels good for that day. I agree that I sometimes have those same thoughts but then I think of how much peace it brings me to throw my thoughts on this screen and release it from my mind or worries. Just keep doing what you are doing because I love coming here and reading, everyday!

I love reading your blog just as it is! I write the same way! If I wrote in just one niche I think I would bore people! Write what you want to write. Not what you think people want you to write! =)

P.S. Your running posts motivate me in my future 5K ambition! =)
