The Coldest Race I've Ever Run

This past weekend, I had a 5K race. The race was for an awesome cause (which in my opinion, makes races better!). It was freezing on Saturday though! It was 34 degrees when I got out of my car and we also had 25 mph wind gusts. To say I was excited about running in that weather is an understatement.

(I feel like all of my winter race pictures look the same. I only have one thick running jacket because let's face it, we don't get too much cold weather that requires extra layers. I'm not one of those runners who can run in less either. I can't stand to be cold!)

I didn't have a goal time for this race. I knew it was going to be cold and I had an awful cold last week. In fact, I only ran one day before the race during the week which is unheard of for me.

I finished in 21:42 and was the first overall female.

Of all the races I've run, this one had the best medal.

After the 5K, there was a kids race which the boys ran. They had fun!
