Lightening Bolts Soccer

The boys wrapped up their spring season of soccer on Saturday. They had a great time playing this spring! I was surprised to see how much they both improved from the fall.

Kevin coached their team which was nice. I think this was also the last season for a year or two that they were able to play on the same team.

K.C. was really aggressive this season. I can see his competitiveness coming out. Kaden was also more focused on the game and really liked playing goalie. In the past, he's run off the field asking me when it's time for snacks (we joke that he plays for the snacks), but this season, he stayed on the field and sat on the bench with his team when he wasn't playing.

K.C. scored a goal at the beginning of the season. He played great all season long, but in his game last Tuesday, he was phenomenal! I could see glimpses of Kevin as I watched him play.

Kaden wanted to score a goal all season and he did on Saturday. It just happened to be scored in the wrong goal. I was still proud of him for kicking the ball so hard and going for it.

After each game, most of the parents would make a tunnel for the kids to run through. I think it was a highlight for them and even our opposing team would run through our tunnel.

Following Saturday's game, we had donuts and snacks for the team and Kevin handed out their trophies.
