It's Friday which means it's time for my weekly fitness recap with Jen!
I had a 5K race last Saturday. You can read my recap of that race here. It was a great race and I was happy with a PR of 20:38!
I've been taking it easy since Tuesday. I've run a lot lately, and fast, and I have been having some pain/discomfort in my left hip/lower back. I think it's really from the machine I use on my glutes at the gym (I use 110 pounds), so I've only done that once this week and I've slowed down on my runs. In fact, I decided to bike this morning as opposed to running much. I have two big races coming up in the next few weeks and I want to save my legs for them.
Even though I've run less than normal this week, I did manage to squeeze in a 10K one day and I've run at least half a mile each day.

Do any of you bike and swim? I'm thinking about trying a triathlon. I really enjoyed getting back on the bike this morning - if only I can become a strong swimmer!
